| Owing to the nature of its operations, Hydro-Québec must comply with many provincial and federal laws and regulations on the environment. In addition to ensuring compliance with these legal requirements, we monitor changes to environmental laws and regulations to determine their impact on the company and adjust our practices. Violation notices from government departments are followed up carefully. They are duly noted and periodically passed on to management so that the latter can follow up and set priorities for taking action. |
