Using Resources Wisely Energy Efficiency at Hydro-Québec |

| Hydro-Québec implements energy efficiency measures when designing and operating its equipment and buildings. Various initiatives are also put forward to reduce energy consumption, improve the energy performance of our equipment and reduce system losses. New facilities follow the recommendations in the supplement to the provincial Regulation respecting energy conservation in new buildings. Recent examples include Montérégie, Boucherville and Langlois substations, and Toulnustouc and Mercier generating stations (thermal insulation, lighting systems, etc.). The energy consumption of our equipment and buildings is monitored on a yearly basis to keep track of our progress in terms of energy performance.
