Every year, Hydro-Québec signs partnering arrangements with the stakeholders affected by its projects in order to facilitate project integration into the local environment.

Agreement on the planned Romaine hydropower complex (signed in 2008) RCM of Minganie Set up funds to implement various economic, environmental, social and cultural initiatives. The agreement provides for payments that will run until 2070.
Economic spinoffs of major Hydro-Québec projects in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (signed in 2008) ComaxAT Define Hydro-Québec's financial, material and logistical support for regional economic spinoffs of major projects carried out in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
Economic spinoffs of major Hydro-Québec projects in Northern Québec (signed in 2008) ComaxNORD Define Hydro-Québec's financial, material and logistical support for ComaxNord.
Agreement on the maximization of economic spinoffs of major Hydro-Québec projects in Nord-du-Québec and Abitibi-Témiscamingue (signed in 2005) James Bay regional board of elected representatives and Abitibi-Témiscamingue regional board of elected representatives Formalize relations between the parties in order to maximize the economic spinoffs and jobs created by major projects.
Eastmain-1-A/Sarcelle/Rupert agreement with the municipality of Baie-James (signed in 2005) Municipality of Baie-James Establish a regional development fund for the construction and operation of Eastmain-1-A and Sarcelle powerhouses and the partial diversion of the Rupert River.
