Our system

Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie is a leader in transmission system design, operation and maintenance. We do our utmost to keep our grid a globally recognized benchmark for reliability. We operate the most extensive transmission system in North America, with more than 33,244 km of lines at different voltages and 515 substations. The division's fixed assets total $16.9 billion.

Our interconnections

To offer customers a reliable system and transmission services tailored to their needs, Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie has several interconnections with systems in neighboring provinces and states. These facilities allow us to carry out interchanges with Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Ontario and the U.S. Northeast.
