Transmission Provider Code of Conduct
| On June 17, 2004, Québec's Régie de l'énergie (energy board) issued Decision D-2004-122, in which it approved the Transmission Provider Code of Conduct with the ordered amendments. Subject to the jurisdiction of the Régie, the Code came into force on June 21, 2004. It aims to prevent: |
any form of preferential treatment by the Transmission Provider in favor of its affiliates, by governing employee conduct, transfers and information access; |
the financing of all or part of the business activities of the Transmission Provider's affiliates by transmission service customers by regulating the Transmission Provider's transactions with its affiliates. |

Transmission Provider Standards of Conduct
Hydro-Québec's Standards of Conduct apply to the separation of transmission activities from generation and wholesale merchant functions and to the non-discriminatory treatment of transmission service customers. In accordance with Order Nos. 2004, 2004-A and 2004-B of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), these standards have been amended and entitled the Transmission Provider Standards of Conduct. Most of the rules in the amended standards are included in the Transmission Provider Code of Conduct approved by the Régie de l'énergie.
