Accessibility – Hydro-Québec’s Web Site
Hydro-Québec is committed to making its web site accessible to all users, whether they have a disability or not. For that reason, the company exceeds the Web accessibility standard adopted by the Québec government’s Conseil du trésor. It also aims to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, levels A and AA, to keep up to date with Web best practices.
WCAG is a collection of recommendations published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and approved by the International Organization for Standardization, which has made it an international standard (ISO/IEC 40500:2012).

Several techniques are already being used on Hydro-Québec's web site to make it as accessible as possible.
Improving accessibility is an ongoing process and will be carried out gradually as the site is revamped and updated.
Special attention is paid to sections that target our customers and the general public.
There are still some barriers to overcome, but Hydro-Québec is continuing its efforts to make lasting improvements to the accessibility of its web site.
