The activities in which Cree companies participated in Phase II were more diversified than those in Phase I. The Phase II activities can be grouped into three categories: construction work, supply of services and environmental work.

Contracts worth $150,000 million were awarded for construction work, which represented 60.7% of the total value of the contracts. Road maintenance was at the top of this category. Service supply contracts accounted for $80 million, or 32.6% of the total value of Cree contracts for Phase II. This amount was divided almost equally between purchase and delivery of fuel, food and housekeeping services, and air transport. Finally, $16 million in environmental work contracts were awarded, representing 6.7% of the total value of Cree contracts. Nearly all of the contracts in this category involved land-clearing work.
