Main Transmission System (RTP)

The organizations responsible for reliability of the power grid each define in their own way the system that is covered by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) reliability standards. In Québec, that system is the Main Transmission System or RTP [réseau de transport principal]. The Reliability Coordinator therefore draws on the RTP definition to establish which facilities are subject to the vast majority of the reliability standards.
