Hydro‑Québec posted net income of $2,303 million in 2020, in a context marked by the pandemic and mild temperatures. As a result, the company will pay a dividend of over $1.7 billion to the Québec government, its sole shareholder. Electricity rates remained at the same level as in 2019 and continue to rank among the lowest in North America.
