Changes to the Prescriptive Component of the Buildings Program

The Buildings Program was amended on November 19, 2018.

If you took steps to join the Program before November 19, 2018, please read the information below to learn about your options.

Select the situation that applies to your project.

You started work if you issued your first purchase order or signed your first service contract related to the project.

You have two options.

  1. You can submit your project to the Efficient Solutions Program using the Simplified Option and enjoy many advantages. The terms and conditions that apply are those in effect November 19, 2018.

Your project, which was submitted under the Catered Component, will be closed. Once you have implemented your energy efficiency measures, you can submit your project under the Simplified Option. You will receive a new project number at that time.

  2. You can continue with your project under the Prescriptive Component of the Buildings Program, as planned.

The terms and conditions applicable to the project are those set out in the Participant’s Guide in effect on the project start date.

You must submit your project to the Efficient Solutions Program using the Simplified Option, and it must meet the requirements in effect November 19, 2018.

Take advantage of all the eligible measures and a streamlined procedure!

  • Fewer forms to fill in
  • Fewer steps to follow
  • No energy simulation to submit
  • Only one file to submit, containing both technical and administrative information

Your project, which was submitted under the Catered Component, will be closed. Once you have implemented your energy efficiency measures, you can submit your project under the Simplified Option. You will receive a new project number at that time.

Your project doesn’t qualify for any program.

The project may qualify for the Simplified Option under the Efficient Solutions Program, if the targeted measures are predefined in the OSE calculation tool [EXE 11.4 Mb - in French only] and the project meets the requirements in effect on November 19, 2018.

If it does, Hydro-Québec may ask you for paperwork explaining the reason for the start date.

Previous program terms and conditions

The project shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the Participant’s Guide in effect on the date the Proposal is submitted, provided that it meets Program requirements.
