How your tenant can have a wall-mounted heat pump installed free of charge.

Registration for the Éconologis program
TENANTFor your tenant to have a wall-mounted heat pump installed at no cost, they must have registered for the Éconologis program after September 30, 2025, had a visit from an Éconologis advisor and meet Hydro-Québec’s eligibility criteria.
What to do:
Discuss it with your tenant or consult the Participant’s Guide [PDF 289 kB – in French only].

Confirmation of eligibility
HYDRO-QUÉBECOnce your tenant has taken all the steps involved in the Éconologis program, Hydro-Québec will:
- Check your tenant’s eligibility for the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program for Modest-Income Households.
- Confirm your tenant’s interest.
- Contact you by email or phone to confirm that your tenant can receive a heat pump at no cost.
- Call you to explain the program, obtain your approval for the work to be carried out (at no cost) and inform you of the next steps. You may call Hydro-Québec at any time at 1 833 396-1888 (option 7).
Heat pump installation by region by Hydro‑Québec
We will only contact eligible households living in regions where the installation service is available.
What to do:
Speak to your tenant if necessary.

Work authorization
To confirm that you authorize the work to be carried out, you must:
- access the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program portal
- upload proof of ownership
- give your consent
- provide any information required for Hydro-Québec to produce the RL-27 tax slip.
What to do:
The installer will call you to make an appointment for the initial visit.

Work steps
INSTALLERFeasibility visit
- The installer will communicate with you to plan the initial visit.
- During that visit, the installer will take any necessary measurements and assess whether the work can be done.
- You and your tenant must agree on a date for the visit and your tenant must provide access to their home.
What to do:
Agree on an installation date with your tenant and make sure they have removed everything from the wall where the heat pump will be installed so that the installer can take measurements.
Confirmation of work feasibility
The installer will contact you to let you know whether installation is possible and what the next steps are.
Important:
Your municipality may require that you obtain approval or a permit.
Installation of the heat pump
The installer will go to the home to install the heat pump and provide helpful advice for operation and maintenance.
What to do:
Agree on an installation date with your tenant, who must provide access to their home. Make sure you are both on site to receive the advice about operation and maintenance.

- an email confirming that your file is closed
- a satisfaction survey to fill out
