Before you apply for financial assistance from Hydro-Québec
Eligibility criteria
To learn more about eligible dwellings, installations and participants, read the Participant’s Guide [PDF 188 KB] as a first step. It contains all the information you need about the Program.
To be eligible for the Program, the heat pump must be:
- installed by a duly qualified contractor. The work must be carried out by an installer that holds a licence from the Régie du bâtiment du Québec in the category and subcategory of the work you want to undertake in your home; and
- included on the list of heat pump models that qualify for financial assistance [PDF 2.82 MB]. which details the amount of financial assistance available for each model. Be sure to choose a heat pump with the right capacity to meet your heating needs.
When you apply for financial assistance from Hydro-Québec
Here’s an overview of the steps to submit and process an application for financial assistance under the Efficient Heat Pump Program.
- Step 1 — Make sure you have all the required documents and information on hand (see the list in the Participant’s Guide [PDF 188 KB]).
- Step 2 — Fill in the online application for financial assistance.
- Step 3 — Hydro-Québec reviews your application and provides you with information on the terms related to the Relevé 27, as applicable.
- Step 4 — Hydro-Québec sends you the financial assistance.

The LogisVert Efficient Homes Program takes effect in summer 2023
This Program targets several energy efficiency measures, including the purchase and installation of an efficient heat pump. The total amount of financial assistance granted could also be eligible for bonus financing in the following cases:
- If the eligible person is signed up for dynamic pricing or with Services Hilo inc.;
- If several measures are implemented in an eligible home (such as efficient heat pump, roof insulation and caulking work, etc.).
Consult the webpage on the Program to determine if it would be worthwhile for you. If this is the case, please see below for the steps to follow, depending on your situation.
Please note that the Efficient Heat Pump Program and the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program offer the same amount of financial assistance for the purchase and installation of an efficient heat pump.
I have still not received my financial assistance from the Efficient Heat Pump Program. Can I submit a request to the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program?
Yes. You may be eligible for this Program if you made a request for financial assistance to the Efficient Heat Pump Program on or after January 1, 2023. First, you must check the eligibility criteria for the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program in the participant’s guides.
If you are eligible, please contact the Program’s customer support at 1 833 396‑1888 as soon as possible to cancel the application you submitted to the Efficient Heat Pump Program. Once the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program is launched, you can submit a new request to this Program.
I received financial assistance under the Efficient Heat Pump Program but I have not yet cashed the cheque. Can I submit an application under the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program?
Yes, if your request for financial assistance was submitted on or after January 1, 2023. First, you must check the eligibility criteria for the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program in the participant’s guides.
If you are eligible, please contact the Program’s customer support at 1 833 396‑1888 as soon as possible to cancel the application you submitted to the Efficient Heat Pump Program. Once the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program is launched, you can submit a new request to this Program.
I cashed the financial assistance cheque I received under the Efficient Heat Pump Program. Can I submit an application under the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program?
No. You cannot submit a request for the same heat pump. However, if you submit a request for another heat pump or for other measures, you may be eligible for the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program if you meet the eligibility criteria.
I submitted a request for financial assistance under the Efficient Heat Pump Program and I don’t want to participate in the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program. Is there something I need to do?
No. You don’t need to do a thing. Your request will be processed under the Efficient Heat Pump Program.
I didn’t submit a request for financial assistance under the Efficient Heat Pump Program but I would like to participate in the LogisVert Efficient Homes Program. What do I need to do?
