Protect your fixture

Lay a tarp in the bathtub or shower.

Remove the showerhead

  • First turn off the taps fully.
  • Holding the shower pipe, remove the showerhead by turning it counterclockwise.
  • If you can’t do it by hand, use adjustable pliers. Wrap a rag around the pipe first so as not to damage it.

Clean the threads

Wipe off the pipe threads with a wet rag to remove any debris, rust and old Teflon tape.

Wrap the pipe with Teflon tape

Wrap Teflon tape around of the pipe threads three times to provide a good seal for your new showerhead.

Install the new showerhead

Place a new rubber washer inside the showerhead connector and tighten it by hand, turning clockwise.
