Transitional rules applicable to the Medium and Large Businesses Component – Simplified Option

Introduced on November 19, 2018, the Simplified Option of the Medium and Large Businesses Component was amended several times, the most recent update being on March 31, 2025 and applicable starting on October 7, 2024.

Please read this page to learn more about the rules applicable to your project.

Hydro‑Québec may ask you for paperwork explaining the reason for the start date.

The project start date is the earlier of the following two dates:

  • The date on which the participant and the contractor sign the first contract related to the project
  • The date on which the participant first purchases equipment to be used in the project, as shown by a proper invoice or purchase order

Projects with a start date between October 7, 2024, and March 30, 2025: To help you benefit from maximum financial support for your project, we are also making OSE 4.1 [EXE 13.9 MB - in French only] available for projects that began during this period.
