New version of the form and increase of the threshold for Mandatory declaration of conflict of interest and solemn declarations

Publication date: June 21, 2024

New version of the Mandatory declaration of conflict of interest and solemn declarations [in French only] form and increase of the threshold from $10k to $25k for the obligation to complete and sign the form in the context of a tender call.

As one of the largest companies responsible for the production, transmission and distribution of electricity in North America, Hydro‑Québec is taking action to establish and maintain sound business relationships with its suppliers, and to clarify its expectations in terms of integrity and respect for human rights.

In addition, Hydro‑Québec wants to be proactive and encourages its suppliers to take all necessary measures to ensure that their respective supply chains are free of forced labour, and that established practices comply with Quebec and international human rights standards.

As a result, a new version of the Mandatory declaration of conflict of interest and solemn affirmations form will be made available to our suppliers on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. It now includes a specific section on respect for human rights.

The link to this new version will be updated automatically and integrated into all our tender call documentation, so no specific action is required on your part. Please note that the old version of this form will still be accepted for all tender calls issued before July 2, 2024.

As for the increase in the threshold from $10k to $25k for the obligation to complete this form, please note that the increase in the threshold in no way relieves Hydro‑Québec suppliers of their obligations under the Supplier Code of Conduct and the rules of conduct regarding conflicts of interest and the appearance of conflicts of interest detailed therein.

Thank you for your cooperation.
