The OSE tool gives you access to over 200 measures for which the savings and financial assistance are calculated in advance.

The tool helps you:

  • validate the eligibility of the measures you’ve selected
  • assess the amount of financial assistance you may be entitled to receive

    • Installation of high-efficiency compressors on a refrigeration system (max 100 T)
    • Installation of variable-frequency drives on refrigeration system components (compressor, condenser ventilation, evaporator fan)

    Customized Option

    For measures that are not covered by the Simplified Option with the OSE tool, business customers can submit project proposals under the Customized Option.

    • Receive financial assistance of up to 75% of eligible costs for a maximum of $3 million
    • Recoup your costs within a year
    • Savings determined by measuring consumption or by a theoretical calculation.
    • Technical support provided by Hydro‑Québec.

    Eligibility criteria

    The project must:

    • be carried out in one or more commercial, institutional or industrial buildings subject to a business rate and located in Québec
    • target one or more buildings that receive their electricity from the Hydro-Québec grid or from an eligible off-grid, municipal or cooperative system
    • target energy efficiency measures
    • qualify for financial assistance of at least $2,500
    • target only new equipment

    Why should I participate in the Medium and Large Businesses component?

    You could receive financial assistance of up to 75% of eligible costs in order to implement energy efficiency measures. These measures help improve your energy performance and reduce your electricity bill while directly contributing to your company’s profitability.

    Who is the Medium and Large Businesses component intended for?

    This component is intended for businesses that have one or more commercial, institutional or industrial buildings subject to a business rate and located in Québec. The buildings must receive their electricity from the Hydro‑Québec grid or from an eligible off-grid, municipal or cooperative system.     We encourage industry professionals (engineering consulting firms, contractors, companies specializing in energy, etc.) to promote the Efficient Solutions Program with their customers in order to find and implement energy efficiency projects.     What is the minimum financial assistance threshold under the Medium and Large Businesses component?

    Under the Simplified Option, the financial assistance must be at least $2,500. An aggregator can group several projects together to reach that minimum amount.
