Efficient Solutions Program
Transitional rules applicable to the Medium and Large Businesses Component – Simplified Option
Introduced on November 19, 2018, the Simplified Option of the Medium and Large Businesses Component was amended several times, the most recent one being on June 15, 2023.
Please read this page to learn more about the rules applicable to your project.
Hydro‑Québec may ask you for paperwork explaining the reason for the start date.
The project start date is the earlier of the following two dates:
- The date on which the participant and the contractor sign the first contract related to the project
- The date on which the participant first purchases equipment to be used in the project, as shown by a proper invoice or purchase order
You started work before November 19, 2018.
Your project is ineligible for the Efficient Solutions Program. However, certain projects submitted prior to this date under the Industrial Systems Program will be eligible for the Efficient Solutions Program in accordance with the transitional rules set out on Hydro-Québec’s website.
You started work between November 19, 2018, and June 8, 2020.
Subject to Hydro-Québec’s approval, the documentation and tools listed below apply if your project qualifies under the Simplified Option and if the start date was between November 19, 2018, and June 8, 2020.
