Interruption periods

Is your business registered for the interruptible electricity option? The table below should help you prepare for interruptions requested by Hydro‑Québec, particularly in terms of your workforce planning.

Note that this information is an approximation. Various factors, including weather and fluctuations in supply and demand, will influence Hydro‑Québec’s decision to issue a service interruption notice. Hydro‑Québec cannot be held responsible for any discrepancy between the forecasts indicated in this table and the actual situation when the time comes.

Interpreting the table

  • Between December 1 and March 31, the table is updated twice a week on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
  • The Monday update covers the period from Wednesday to the following Tuesday.
  • The Wednesday update covers the period from Friday to the following Monday.
  • There are three levels of interruption likelihood, based on the following color code: Low (green), Medium (yellow) and High (red).

“N/A” (data not available) will be displayed in the event of an update issue or outside of the interruption period season. Should this occur, our teams will be informed and will work to correct the situation.
